We’re seeking a commercially focused Head of Finance to partner with the CEO of Focus on Furniture and lead the finance function for a national, multi-site retail business within the Adairs Group.

About the Role

We’re seeking a commercially focused Head of Finance to partner with the CEO of Focus on Furniture and lead the finance function for a national, multi-site retail business within the Adairs Group. This is a high-impact role where you’ll embed finance into the weekly trading rhythm, turning insights into action to improve earnings, cash flow and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as trusted finance partner to the CEO and leadership team
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and 3–5 year planning
• Own weekly and monthly trading performance reporting and insights
• Drive store, channel and product profitability analysis
• Improve margin, cost control, inventory performance and cash conversion
• Lead financial evaluation of store network and capital investments
• Ensure strong financial control, compliance and audit readiness
• Build and lead a high-performing finance team

About You

• Senior finance leader with experience in retail, FMCG or multi-site consumer businesses
• Strong P&L ownership and commercial partnering capability
• Deep understanding of store performance, margin, inventory and trading dynamics
• Experience in capital investment, cost control and working capital management
• CA/CPA qualified
• Strong stakeholder influence, including executive and board-level communication
