Risk & Compliance Officer

As the Risk and Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for risk and compliance activities across Focus Care. You’ll ensure we meet regulatory obligations while supporting continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.

 Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Focus Care’s risk management framework and risk register
• Ensure compliance with NDIS and aged care standards
• Oversee incident management, investigations, and reporting (including SIRS and NDIS reportables)
• Manage workers compensation claims across multiple states
• Support complaints handling and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct WHS audits, risk assessments and hazard identification
• Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and risk practices

About you

You are detail-oriented, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment.

You will bring:

• Qualifications in WHS, Risk and compliance (or related discipline)
• Experience in risk, compliance, or WHS
• Knowledge of NDIS and/or aged care frameworks
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience managing workers compensation (desirable)
• Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
• NDIS Worker Screening check (or willingness to obtain)
