As demand for our services continues to expand, we’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Finance Team.
This is far more than a traditional accounting role. You’ll become a trusted business partner, providing financial insight that helps shape strategic decisions while supporting an organisation delivering life-changing allied health services to regional and remote communities across Australia.
Working closely with the Leaders in the business, you’ll play a key role in maintaining strong financial governance, improving business performance, supporting operational leaders and helping drive the next stage of our growth journey.
Based in our office near Essendon, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, with three to four days per week in the office dedicated to collaboration, planning and team connection.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you’ll take ownership of a broad range of financial and operational responsibilities including:
· Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
· Producing meaningful analysis of Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets
· Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
· Providing financial analysis and commercial insights to operational leaders
· Managing month-end and year-end accounting processes
· Payroll oversight and reconciliation
· Administration and management of Xero
· Managing WorkCover premium reporting and compliance
· Supporting audit, taxation and statutory reporting requirements
· Improving financial systems, processes and internal controls
· Partnering with leaders across the business to drive performance and informed decision making
About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, growing organisation where no two days are the same. You’ll bring:
· Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Finance
· CPA or CA qualification (or working towards)
· Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Senior Financial Accounting
· Solid understanding of payroll processes and reconciliations
· Experience managing WorkCover reporting and obligations
· Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· High attention to detail and outstanding organisational ability
· A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
· A desire to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation making a genuine difference
