Summary

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician specialising in hydraulics to join our friendly team in Canning Vale, WA. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of hydraulic systems, contributing to our commitment to quality and excellence in production. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting with the day-to-day servicing and repairs to hydraulic equipment and parts.

Responsibilities

  • Hydraulic component repairs and testing, including hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic motors (gear, vane, geroter/geroller) Various hydraulic open loop pumps. (Gear, vane and piston)
  • 700 Bar Ultra high hydraulic equipment. (Service & Repairs)
  • Hydrostatic transmission repair and testing, Brands to include Eaton, Sauer Danfoss, Bosch Rexroth, plus others.
  • Fault finding hydraulic problems either on the job or over the phone.
  • Mentor and oversee apprentice and trades assistance when needed.
  • Increase productivity where possible
  • Work in conjunction with all other staff  

Qualifications

  • Completion of a relevant trade qualification in hydraulics or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience as a workshop technician or in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
