Noarlunga Cardiac Clinic – Full Time
We are currently seeking an ECG Technician on a Full Time bases on a 6 Month Contract
The ECG Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing, including ECGs, fitting Holter monitoring devices and performing ambulatory blood pressure testing. These services will be performed while supporting safe, efficient and patient-centred care at Noarlunga Cardiac Clinic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Perform ECGs, Holter monitor fittings and ambulatory blood pressure monitor fittings.
– Provide a prompt, efficient and safe diagnostic service to all patients in accordance with clinical protocols.
– Accurately prepare, record and process test information and perform minimal associated administrative tasks.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
– Perform ECGs, fit Holter monitors and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
– Prepare patients for testing, provide clear communication to the patient and provide appropriate support throughout the appointment.
– Check, clean and maintain ECG, Holter and blood pressure monitoring equipment and report faults promptly
– Arrange equipment servicing and repairs as required and assist with stock control of consumables.
– Complete accurate patient records, appointment documentation and other administration related duties.
– Assist Cardiologists with ECG testing for outpatient clinics.
– Work within scope of practice and seek clinical support when required.
– Organise daily workload effectively to support smooth clinic operations across locations.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
– Maintain a safe clinical environment and comply with infection control, workplace health and safety, and practice policies.
– Ensure patient examination information is recorded accurately in the practice management system and correct discrepancies when identified.
– Monitor equipment and consumable stock levels and report shortages or maintenance issues promptly.
– Communicate effectively with patients, clinicians and colleagues to support efficient service delivery.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
– Undertake mandatory and role-specific training required to perform ECG and related diagnostic testing safely and effectively.
– Maintain competency in the use of ECG, Holter and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring equipment.
– Participate in orientation, ongoing education and professional development activities as required.

– Maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant privacy, safety and clinical governance requirements.
– Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team and contribute positively to the workplace environment.
