Hi there! We’re Five Good Friends.
We’re an approved aged care and NDIS service provider helping our Members (others call them clients) live vibrantly in their own homes. Friendship guides everything we do.
Our approach to care is done the Five Good Friends way — we wrap a care team around each Member and their family, supported by technology that quietly coordinates in the background. That way, our people can focus on what matters most: human connection, trust, and exceptional care outcomes.
We’re a place where purpose meets impact. Behind every great care experience is a strong culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement — and that’s where this role comes in.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Quality Outcomes Lead to play a key leadership role within our Care and Quality team.
This role exists to ensure our Quality Framework not only meets, but exceeds, the requirements of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and NDIS Practice Standards — while always keeping Member outcomes at the heart of decision-making.
Working closely with the Quality Outcomes Manager, you’ll lead quality initiatives across the business, guide teams through change, and ensure our systems, processes and behaviours consistently support safe, high-quality care.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys balancing oversight with action — combining strategic thinking, strong regulatory knowledge, and a genuine passion for improving people’s experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead and embed quality across the organisation by:
• Partnering with the Quality Outcomes Manager to ensure the Quality Framework is robust, effective and aligned with all regulatory requirements.
• Championing a culture of continuous improvement, positive change and accountability.
• Leading quality activities and internal audits, including methodology design, data analysis and reporting.
• Driving the implementation and continuous improvement of incident and feedback management systems.
• Developing and reviewing policies, procedures and workflows.
• Managing insurance matters, including claims submissions and the annual insurance renewal process.
• Supporting monitoring systems for Infectious Disease and Emergency & Disaster Management.
• Managing and responding to requests from external stakeholders.
• Reporting on quality outcomes and key insights to the Care Governance Committee and Board of Directors.
• Providing guidance and advice to teams on compliance, risk mitigation and preventative corrective actions.
• Staying across legislative and regulatory changes and driving these through the organisation in a practical, people-focused way.
About You
You’re someone who believes quality is about more than compliance — it’s about better experiences for people.
You’ll bring:
• Tertiary qualifications in human services, health or community services.
• Experience in a quality or compliance role within aged care, disability or health services.
• Knowledge of (or a strong desire and capacity to quickly learn) aged care and NDIS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in incident and complaints management.
• A strong commitment to meaningful change, improvement and outcomes.
• Excellent attention to detail, paired with the ability to see the bigger picture.
• Confidence leading, training and supporting others through process change.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• A love of technology and belief in its ability to improve care and service delivery.
• High levels of initiative, drive and personal accountability.
About Your Team
You’ll work within our Care and Quality team, collaborating closely with leaders, frontline teams and corporate functions to embed quality in everything we do.
This role plays an important part in supporting governance, strengthening systems, and ensuring our people feel confident, supported and well-equipped to deliver great care.
What You’ll Learn & Grow With Us
We’re committed to helping our people grow. In this role, you’ll continue developing:
• Leadership skills and influence across a diverse organisation.
• Deep expertise in aged care and NDIS quality and compliance frameworks.
• Confidence communicating across all levels — from frontline teams to senior leaders and the Board.
• Advanced quality management skills, ensuring projects and outcomes are of a consistently high standard.

We want Five Good Friends to be a place where you can do meaningful work and live well.
• A competitive salary package that reflects your skills and experience.
• $500 annual wellbeing allowance to support what helps you feel your best outside of work.

• Access to confidential counselling through our Employee Assistance Program.
• Parental leave support, including wage top-ups and superannuation contributions for eligible caregivers.
• Discounted care for a loved one through Five Good Friends services.
