Hi there! We’re Five Good Friends.
We’re an approved aged care and NDIS service provider helping our Members (others call them clients) live vibrantly in their own homes. We wrap a care team around them and their families, supported by innovative software that coordinates in the background—so our teams can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.
We’re proud to be a place where purpose meets impact. Every day, our work contributes to helping people live their best lives, and that starts with our people.
About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated Village and Community Cleaner to join our team in the Ashfield area. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in creating clean, safe and welcoming homes and wants their work to genuinely improve the daily lives of older Australians.
You’ll work 30.4 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (8am–4pm), supporting Members living within a local Retirement Village as well as those receiving community aged care services nearby.
This is more than a cleaning job — it’s meaningful work where your attention to detail directly contributes to someone’s comfort, dignity and wellbeing.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your primary focus will be high quality domestic cleaning, including:
• Domestic assistance across Village & Community settings — cleaning, laundry, home organisation and light household tasks
• Infection control cleaning — following set procedures to maintain safe, hygienic environments
• Kitchen & meal related support — simple tasks such as ordering meals, basic in home meal prep, meal delivery and safe food storage
• Companionship and social connection — friendly conversation and check ins while you work
• Driving and community access — occasional transport support
• Basic home admin — booking appointments, ordering meals, simple tech help
Cleaning is the core of the role — everything else is light, task based support that helps Members maintain independence.

• First Aid, CPR & Mental Health First Aid — current certifications

Skills & Attributes
• Admin & tech confidence — comfortable with admin tasks and using smartphones, iPads, tablets
