About the Role
We are seeking an In‑Work Support & Recruitment Partner to join our Workforce Australia team in Gladstone. This is a hybrid role that combines employer engagement and recruitment activities with in‑work mentoring and post-placement support.
You will play a key role in connecting job-ready customers with local employers and supporting them once they commence employment – helping to improve retention, sustainability, and long-term success.
Working closely with Mentors, employers, and internal stakeholders, you will support the full employment lifecycle from vacancy sourcing through to in‑work support and retention outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers and industry partners
- Proactively source, develop, and promote job opportunities for Workforce Australia customers
- Match suitable candidates to vacancies and support the recruitment process end to end
- Provide in‑work support and mentoring to placed customers to promote retention and sustainability
- Coach and support customers through workplace adjustment, expectations, and problem-solving
- Liaise with employers to address early concerns and support positive employment outcomes
- Work collaboratively with Employment Consultants and internal teams to support placements
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with Workforce Australia requirements
- Contribute to achieving contractual KPIs and performance targets
About You
- Experience in recruitment, employment services, labour hire, or a similar role
- Strong employer engagement and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated experience supporting customers in employment or post-placement environments
- A customer-first approach with a genuine commitment to helping people succeed at work
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Knowledge of Workforce Australia or DES contracts (highly regarded)
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
