Fire Safety Compliance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Safety Compliance Manager to lead our compliance team and ensure all fire safety systems and processes meet current standards and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support a team of Fire Safety Assessors across multiple sites and projects
• Oversee fire safety inspections, assessments, and compliance reporting
• Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, codes, and legislation
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to assessors and internal teams
• Assist in preparing quotes, tenders, and scope of works for new and existing clients
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
• Review and approve compliance documentation, reports, and certifications
• Stay up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and industry standards

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of fire safety standards and legislation (e.g. AS1851, NCC, relevant state regulations)
• Proven experience in fire safety compliance or a similar role
• Experience managing or mentoring teams
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them in practical settings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance

Desirable

• Accreditation as a Fire Safety Assessor (or equivalent)
• Background in electrical, fire protection, or building services
