We are seeking an experienced and high-performing National Sales Manager to lead our national Business Development team and drive the next phase of growth across our Training Division.
This is a senior leadership role with significant influence across the organisation and direct collaboration with the CEO and General Manager.
Based in our Sailsury, QLD office, the successful candidate will operate with a genuine “CEO mindset” — taking ownership of national sales performance, thinking strategically, acting commercially, and leading the sales function as a business within the business.
About the Role
As the National Sales Manager, you will lead and execute FSA’s national sales strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth, customer retention, margin performance and sales excellence across the business.
You will oversee a geographically dispersed team of Business Development Managers while also managing key national accounts and strategic customer relationships.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building high-performing teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop a national team of Business Development Managers
- Build and sustain a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, engagement and results
- Develop and execute national sales and growth strategies aligned with business objectives
- Drive capability uplift, coaching and succession planning across the sales function
- Provide strategic market intelligence and commercial insights to senior leadership
Revenue Growth & Performance
- Own national revenue, margin and growth targets
- Drive pipeline management, forecast accuracy and disciplined sales execution
- Monitor and improve key sales metrics including:
- Revenue growth
- Win rates
- Deal velocity
- Pipeline ageing
- Customer retention
- Share of wallet
- Identify new markets, emerging projects and strategic growth opportunities
- Lead tender submissions, expressions of interest and major project opportunities
Client & Commercial Management
- Manage and grow relationships with major national clients and corporate accounts
- Maintain strong CRM discipline and Salesforce governance
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Scheduling and Customer Service teams to ensure exceptional client delivery
- Ensure sales activities align with FSA policies, compliance obligations and quality frameworks

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have:
- 5+ years’ experience in senior sales leadership roles
- Proven success leading geographically dispersed sales teams
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing revenue, margins and forecasting
- Experience within mining, infrastructure, industrial services, oil & gas or related sectors
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- CRM leadership experience (Salesforce preferred)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A positive, solutions-focused leadership style aligned with company values
Highly Regarded:
- Experience within Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) or vocational education
- Knowledge of emergency response, medical or safety training services
- Degree qualification in Sales, Marketing or Business
