Fire and Safety Australia is seeking experienced Medical Emergency Officers for our team at mining sites in Whyalla. The positions are on a 7:7 roster, offered on a fixed-term or casual contract starting mid May.
Successful candidates will be required to travel to Whyalla. We offer a $450 allowance for those residing more than 2 hours away from Whyalla, along with a daily tax free meal allowance of $75. Accommodation provided for those who live out of Whyalla.
As a Medical Emergency Officer (MESO), you will play a crucial role in delivering emergency response and medical treatment services. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who can adeptly handle emergencies both collaboratively and independently.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue – Including Vertical and Confined Space Rescue
- Minimum of Cert IV Health Care (Ambulance) HLT41115 or higher
- Available for immediate start
- Current Collect Specimens
- Current MR/HR Drivers Licence
- Current CPR (1 year) and First Aid (3 years)
- Current Police Clearance (No older than a year)
- Ability to work solo with a minimum of 2 year’s experience on a mine site in a similar role
