FSA has recently been awarded a new and exciting contract covering Blackwater and Daunia in the Bowen Basin of Northen Queensland. As a result of this exciting new contract award on top of our year on year growth and expansion within the Queensland and National Resources, Energy and construction Sectors, Fire & Safety Australia is seeking experienced Emergency Services Officer Supervisors, to support our new Coal Mining client.

The Roles:

All roles are either DIDO or FIFO to our client sites in Blackwater and Daunia Queensland with a 7:7 roster alternating day and night shift 12 hour days.These roles form the critical security, medical and emergency response capability on behalf of our clients and are supported by onsite team leaders and a Regional Operations Support Manager

Key Responsibilities:

·Responsible for the day to day delivery of site based security, medical and emergency response in line with contractual KPI’s

·Lead day-to-day people management and team coordination for the assigned team.

·Manage team performance, conduct, and accountability in line with FSA requirements.

·Create Manage and maintain individual training plans and a current skills matrix for team capability and compliance.

·Shared ownership with peers of rostering, travel, and accommodation across all swings to maintain coverage and operational continuity.

·Ownership of asset management and maintenance duties to ensure all is serviced and inspected as required and always ready for use.

·Lead incident response management, ensure timelyreporting, and uphold response standards.

·Work with the finance team to provide accurate invoicing and chargeback input.

·Carry out other leadership and operational duties as directed by the Operations Manager or Contracts Manager.

Experience:

·3-5 years experience in a similar Emergency Services supervisor role

·Proven operational supervisor experience within the fire and rescue industry, preferably within the resources sector, including hydrocarbon, mining, processing, and power, or within construction, maritime, defence, or aviation environments, with the ability to lead teams in high-risk settings.

·Proven supervisor expertise in industrial fire, rescue, and emergency response systems, procedures, and operational concepts, with strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills to direct teams and maintain performance standards.

·Proven supervisor experience in high-risk work activities including rescue planning, gas testing, permit issuing and use, heights safety supervision, long line operations, hazardous areas awareness, and major hazard facility warning systems, with sound knowledge of the related codes of practice and regulations.

·Experience delivering and assessing training for personnel performing emergency response roles, and building capability through coaching, mentoring, and structured development.

 

Working Environment:

·7 days on: 7 days off

·12 hour days

·Local Company Provided Camp based Accommodation and food.
