FSA has recently been awarded a new and exciting contract
covering Blackwater and Daunia in the Bowen Basin of Northen Queensland. As a
result of this exciting new contract award on top of our year on year growth
and expansion within the Queensland and National Resources, Energy and
construction Sectors, Fire & Safety Australia is seeking experienced Emergency
Services Officers, to support our new Coal Mining client.

The Roles:
All roles are either DIDO or FIFO to our client sites in
Blackwater and Daunia Queensland with a 7:7 roster alternating day and night
shift 12 hour days.
These roles form the critical security, medical and
emergency response capability on behalf of our clients and are supported by onsite
team leaders and a Regional Operations Support Manager
Key Responsibilities:
· Complete
all tasks required under the Site Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
·Respond to site emergencies in accordance with
the relevant Site Emergency Response Plan.
·Inspect security, emergency response, and
medical equipment as required to maintain operational readiness in line with
site SHMS requirements.
·Monitor and maintain stock levels of security,
emergency response, and medical consumables required for service delivery, and
escalate shortages or issues to the nominated Emergency Services Officer
Supervisor.
·Conduct fitness for work drug and alcohol
testing at shift change and at other times as directed by the Company
Representative.
·Maintain accurate and timely records of all
events, incidents, and occurrences, and meet reporting requirements within the
required timeframes.
·Participate in emergency response and evacuation
drills to maintain site readiness.
·Participate in the review and approval of
emergency response scenarios and plans for high-risk activities.
·Support the ongoing development and improvement
of the site’s security, emergency response, and medical services and associated
processes.

Experience:
·2-5 years in a FIFO / DIDO role (Desirable)
·1-5 Years in a similar Emergency Services
Officer role (Desirable)
·Physically fit and mentally prepared for remote
field deployment
·Strong situational awareness and ability to work
independently
·Flexible to work 12-hour shifts, Day shift, on
an as rostered DIDO basis
·Flexibility with Roster with an approximate even
time assignment.
·Demonstrated operational experience within the
fire and rescue industry, preferably in the resources sector, including
hydrocarbons, mining, processing, or power, or in construction, maritime,
defence, or aviation.
·Demonstrated expertise in industrial fire,
rescue, and emergency response concepts, procedures, and systems, supported by
strong communication and organisational skills.
·Demonstrated experience in high-risk work
activities, including rescue planning, gas testing, permit issuing, permit use,
working at heights supervision, long line operations, hazardous areas
awareness, exposure to major hazard facility warning systems, and the
application of relevant codes of practice and regulations.
Working Environment:
·7 days on: 7 days off
·12 hour days
