About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior
Developer who takes pride in craft – someone who excels in use of AI to design
and deliver robust, scalable solutions while helping elevate the engineers
around them. You’ll work within our Product & Technology division, embedded
in a cross-functional squad and reporting to our Tech Lead.
This isn’t a heads-down coding
role. You’ll contribute to technical direction, drive quality standards, and
play a meaningful part in shaping how we build.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver secure, well-architected solutions
across the full loan lifecycle – from inception to production.
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute
architectural improvements that cut complexity and improve maintainability.
- Deliver high-quality software predictably within our
agile framework, upholding strong engineering practices including testing, code
quality, and SDLC principles.
- Own the quality and maintainability of the features and
components in your domain – including incident response and preventative
improvements.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, provide
constructive code reviews, and elevate overall squad capability.
- Identify and introduce reusable patterns, tooling
improvements, and engineering practices that make the whole team faster.
- Evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-assisted
development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years’ experience as a Developer in a commercial
environment, with 2 years as a Senior.
- Solid proficiency across .NET, with bonus points for JavaScript,
TypeScript, React, and Git.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services – App
Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and Azure DevOps is
desirable. Alternate cloud vendors are
acceptable.
- Experience designing and deploying cloud-based
solutions with security, scalability, resilience, and recovery in mind.
- Strong use of AI tooling for 12 months or more is
required, ideally ChatGPT Codex or Claude Code, in an industry best practice
manner.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (NewRelic, Azure
Monitor) and API testing tools (Postman, SwaggerHub).
- Strong grasp of SDLC principles and agile methodologies
such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and Continuous Delivery.
- Ideally bring a background in Test Driven Development
experience, or integration of AI/ML capabilities into production systems.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or
equivalent experience; relevant vendor or technical certifications are a plus.
