Feramex is a Melbourne-based sheet metal manufacturing business supplying roofing systems and architectural cladding solutions to the residential and commercial construction sector.

Operating from our Tullamarine facility, we run a structured multi-shift production environment servicing customers across Victoria.

Feramex has been established as a dedicated and standalone business, formed from an existing and proven sheet metal manufacturing operation, to support its continued expansion and operational focus. This structured growth phase is built on a strong operational foundation and established market presence.

About the Role

This role is part of our Production team with Day and Afternoon shifts available.

Whether you’re a seasoned sheet-metal operator or just starting your manufacturing career, this is your chance to learn new skills, work with cutting-edge machinery and be part of a friendly, fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and plan production orders to meet daily schedules
  • Operate—or learn to operate—our coil-slitters and pan-brake folders to create custom flashings and other sheet-metal products
  • Manufacture custom sheet-metal products using specialised equipment to exact specifications
  • Pick, pack and wrap finished orders for dispatch
  • Keep a sharp eye on quality and attention detail
  • Contribute to general manufacturing and production tasks to keep operations running smoothly
  • Perform manual handling of sheet-metal products as required
  • Operate forklift as required to load, unload, and transport materials.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
  • Follow safety procedures and instructions at all times

Skills & Experience

Required

  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling work
  • Basic computer / system entry capability
  • Reliable and consistent work ethic
  • Good communication skills (verbal and basic written)
  • Current Forklift Licence
  • MR/HR Driver’s License (for Afternoon Shift role only)

Preferred:

  • Experience in similar industry
