Join a purpose-driven organisation making a real difference

Family Day Care Queensland (FDCQ) is looking for a motivated and organised Operations Administrator to join our team in a flexible part-time role.

If you love creating order, improving systems, supporting projects, and being the person who keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes – this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

At FDCQ, the work you do helps support services, educators, children, and families across Queensland. We’re a values-driven organisation that believes in collaboration, innovation, and making a positive impact in the community.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting the organisation’s operations through systems administration, reporting, project support, and process improvement.

No two days will look the same. One day you might be streamlining a workflow or assisting with reporting, and the next you could be supporting a sector initiative or helping improve stakeholder engagement systems.

This role would suit someone who:

  • Enjoys problem-solving and improving processes
  • Loves working with systems and data
  • Is highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Communicates confidently with a range of stakeholders
  • Thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment

What You’ll Be Doing

In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the centre of keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. From supporting systems and troubleshooting issues to streamlining workflows and improving processes, you’ll play a key role in helping the organisation operate effectively every day. You’ll work across reporting, projects, stakeholder support, and compliance activities while identifying smarter ways of working and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and making a genuine impact behind the scenes, this role offers the opportunity to bring your ideas, organisation skills, and initiative to a supportive and purpose-driven team.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive professional with experience in administration or operations support, strong communication skills, and confidence working with systems, reporting, and data. The ideal candidate will be able to manage competing priorities, work independently, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Experience in the not-for-profit, education, health, or community services sector will be highly regarded, along with experience supporting projects or external stakeholders. A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one) is required.

Why Join FDCQ?

At FDCQ, you’ll be part of a supportive and passionate team that genuinely values the work we do and the people who do it.

We offer:

  • A flexible part-time schedule (3 days per week)
  • Meaningful work with community impact
  • A collaborative and inclusive workplace culture
  • Opportunities to contribute ideas and improve systems
  • A role where your work truly matters
