Eyemedics is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our large, friendly, and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient service.
What you’ll be doing:
• Welcoming patients and managing front desk enquiries
• Handling incoming phone calls and responding to emailed enquiries
• Making patient appointments
• Processing payments, Medicare claims, and specialist referrals
• Maintaining accurate patient records and correspondence
• Scanning and uploading documents to patient records
• Supporting clinicians and administrative staff in a large, team-focused environment
• Delivering excellent customer service with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail
What we’re looking for:
• Experience in medical reception or administration (specialist/ophthalmology experience highly regarded)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a busy practice
• Proficiency with medical software (Genie or similar preferred)
• Experience in medical typing would be advantageous but not essential
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• An Australian resident – we are unable to provide work sponsorship
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current Working with Children Check (SA)
