Summary

We are seeking a People & Capability Coordinator (HR Coordinator) to join our People & Capability team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Professional to support the full employee lifecycle, provide HR advisory support, and deliver efficient people processes. You will play a key role in managing and optimising our HR systems, particularly Employment Hero (HRIS / Payroll platform), while supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR operations

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the end-to-end employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, contracts, variations, offboarding)
  • Maintain accurate employee data and workflows in Employment Hero (HRIS)
  • Prepare HR documentation including employment contracts, letters, and policy updates
  • Provide first-level HR advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and FairWork requirements
  • Support employee relations matters including performance management and conduct issues
  • Assist with HR compliance, awards, and employment legislation requirements
  • Coordinate recruitment and talent acquisition activities (job ads, scheduling, onboarding)
  • Support learning & development, training coordination, and compliance tracking
  • Generate HR reports and analytics to support workforce planning
  • Contribute to HR process improvement and HR projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years’ experience in a HR Coordinator / HR Advisor / P&C role
  • Strong experience with Employment Hero (HRIS and/or payroll system)
  • Working knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work, and awards/EBA frameworks
  • Experience across HR operations, recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle
  • Strong organisational, time management, and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism

Highly regarded

  • Experience in not-for-profit or community services sectors
  • Exposure to employee relations case management
  • Knowledge of SCHADS Award or similar industrial instruments
  • Interest in diversity, inclusion, accessibility, or the Deaf community
