The Opportunity

ERS are seeking highly capable, committed and motivated Security Officers to join our team on a casual basis.

This role requires someone who is calm under pressure, technically capable, and disciplined in following procedures, with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and operational awareness. With ongoing opportunities for the right candidate, offering stability within a professional security operation.

Working with a variety of ERS clients across the Perth Metro area, you will be required (but not limited) to:

  • Attend to client and visitor needs with exceptional customer service
  • Focus on early identification of potential disturbances with the view to de-escalate and contain potential incidents
  • Monitor security and alarm systems on a regular basis
  • Perform access control
  • Maintain records and registers relevant to security and running of building
  • Show resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Liaise and assist police and emergency services when required
  • Demonstrate competence in spoken and written English
  • Coordinate operational activities across the site, ensuring strict adherence to operational procedures, safety protocols, and client requirements

About you

As an ERS Security Officer, you will possess a strong understanding of security standards, regulations and laws. We also need you to be aware of the sensitivity to cultural differences and demonstrate teamwork when working with our clients, stakeholders, visitors and staff.

To be successful for this role requires you to have a demonstrated minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Security role with availability to work across the week (Monday to Friday). You will also bring:

  • Certificate II in Security Operations (minimum) with current valid WA Security Licence
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (within 12 months)
  • Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow procedures and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be fluent in written and spoken English
  • Confidence in using computer systems and MS Office (Word & Excel) for reporting.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during incidents
  • Full working rights in Australia with no restrictions on hours
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
