About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Lead and supported by the Chief Financial Officer, this role sits within a growing and evolving Finance team. This is a key position responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll across the business, while also helping to shape and improve payroll processes as the business continues to scale.

You’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, while maintaining strong compliance with all relevant legislation and internal standards.

You know how to manage competing priorities, have experience with payroll systems, committed to high accuracy and attention to detail and deliver a consistently high standard of work. Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will take ownership of the full payroll cycle, including:

  • End to end payroll processing across multiple pay groups and cycles
  • Processing overtime, penalties, leave, workers’ compensation, and payroll variations
  • Managing terminations, entitlements, and spread of pay arrangements
  • Ensuring superannuation is processed accurately and in line with legislation
  • Interpreting and applying multiple awards and employment agreements with confidence
  • Maintaining compliance with Fair Work, PAYG, and Superannuation Guarantee requirements
  • Responding to employee and manager payroll queries with professionalism accuracy and urgency
  • Supporting reconciliations, reporting, and month-end payroll activities
  • Identifying issues early, escalating risks, and contributing to practical solutions
  • Continuously improving payroll systems, processes, and efficiencies
