About the Role
The role of the Student Placements – Supervisor is to supervise, guide and support daily activities of the Student Placements Team by responding to team and student queries, managing escalations, monitor workflows and ensuring team targets are achieved within agreed deadlines. The role also provides ongoing operational and administrative support to the Director of Student Placements, the Student Placements team, Field Education Coordinators, Excelsia stakeholders and students enrolled in placement units. Additionally, the role involves reviewing, developing and maintaining placements processes and training plans, ensuring compliance with current legislation, regulatory requirements, and organisational policies.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Professional Standing:
- Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
- Possession of a relevant degree level qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience/ training (education, business, Human resources, health, Social Work or Counselling).
- Extensive experience (3+ years) working in student placement role or relevant field/higher education environment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, workplace health and safety requirements and compliance obligations.
- Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated capacity to apply specialist and integrated bodies of knowledge to work assignments, such as process development and implementation and system integration.
- An understanding of current and emerging trends in higher education placements.
- Leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes and meet deadlines.
- A commitment to continued professional growth.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply equal opportunity principles and work health and safety principles in the workplace.
