About the Role

The role of the Career Development Coordinator is to coordinate career development and employability initiatives that support students to make informed career decisions and successfully transition into graduate employment or further study.

Primary responsibilities are to:

  • Design and deliver employability workshops (e.g. career planning, Cvs, interviews, professional identity).
  • Support the development of industry-engaged learning opportunities, including placements, projects, and guest engagement.
  • Organise careers expos, employer engagement events, and industry panels.
  • Coordinate institutional tracer studies and graduate destination data collection.
  • Work with academic staff to ensure employability initiatives are aligned with course contexts and student cohorts.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.

Relevant degree (Career Development, Education, career counselling and coaching, HR, or related) or equivalent professional experience.3+ years’ experience in career development, student support, or related roles, preferably in higher education.

Awareness of trends in higher education and student employability.

Ability to design, deliver, and evaluate career development programs.

Excellent oral and written communication; confident presenter.

Strong organisational and project management skills; able to prioritise multiple initiatives.

Technologically competent with desktop and digital tools for reporting and program management.

Proven ability to build and maintain professional networks with staff, industry, and alumni to create opportunities for students.
