About the Role
Reporting to the Academic Administration Manager, primary responsibilities are to:
- Serve allocated Schools with administrative support, providing support supervisory duties (training, distribution of work, checking and proofing work for finalization) for the Academic Administrative Assistants on behalf of the Academic Administration Manager.
- Coordinate administrative projects to ensure the smooth operation of the Schools;
- Provide exceptional customer service to staff and students as the first point of contact for the
Schools;
- Maintain and update course and student information in the Excelsia Learning Management System (Moodle);
- Support casual academic staffing allocations for the Schools for each study period;
- Compile student academic information and submit reports for academic processes;
- Provide secretarial services to various committees including document preparation and minute
taking;
- Serve as a team player and share best practice across student experience, system upkeep,
organisation, and planning.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Professional Standing:
- Post-secondary qualification in Administration, Business, Customer Service, or other.
- Working experience, 3 – 5 years in an administration role.
- Working experience, 1 – 2 years with back-end/administrator responsibility for maintaining information in software systems.
Essential:
- Committed Christian, involved in a local congregation;
- Demonstrated administration and project coordination skills;
- Demonstrated experience in providing strong person-centered customer service;
- Working knowledge of a learning management system (such as Moodle) and database (such as Paradigm) is an advantage;
- Strong technological literacy of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to encourage and lead team-mates to deliver high quality work;
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to multi-task prioritise and meet deadlines;
- Must have acute attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work appropriately with students,
faculty, and administrators, independently as well as in a busy team environment.
