Courtesy Bus Driver (and Operations Attendant)

Ettalong Diggers Club is the destination of choice on the Central Coast Peninsula for hospitality, live entertainment, sustainability, and lifestyles to benefit the community. We have 5 Beverage outlets, Bistro 51, Café, Street Food Kitchen, Function Facilities (our Esplanade Conference and Events Centre is a busy hub, hosting an array of events, weddings, wakes, and conferences), a variety of entertainment options, Courtesy Shuttle and much more. We have Mantra Ettalong Beach on site too.

About the role:

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Courtesy Bus Driver to join our team. We’re looking for a driver who enjoys being part of a team and is happy during breaks in the bus run, to assist on the floor in an operations/general duties capacity.

Main duties (some of what you will be doing)

• Provide the courtesy bus service to our members and guests.

• Pickup and delivery of members and guests to the Club and their homes in a safe and responsible manner.

• Assist during breaks in the bus run, on the floor in an operations/general duties capacity to maintain the cleanliness of the Club.

• Build a rapport with our members and guests, ensuring the highest level of customer service.

• Assist, where required, members and guests who may have mobility issues, to step onto the Courtesy Bus safely.

• Assist our members and guests with any enquiries they may have.

• Maintain the cleanliness of the Courtesy Bus after every shift – ensure the interior of the bus is clean and rubbish free and the overall presentation of the Courtesy Bus.

• Complete basic vehicle checks and report any issues to the Operations Manager.

• Ensure there is sufficient fuel in the Courtesy Bus.

• Support a positive team culture.

What do we need from you?

• A copy of your current and unlimited NSW Driver’s License (we cannot accept red or green provisional license holders) with a clear driving record

• Current RSA and RCG competency cards (essential)

• A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (essential and then annually)

• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• A copy of your Certified Driving record from Service NSW (essential and then annually)

• Current RSA and RCG competency cards (essential)

• Current Working with Children Check

• A medical certificate from your doctor acknowledging that you are able to perform the inherent requirements of this position

• You’ll need a reliable mode of transport to and from work for this role, due to the roster

• Excellent personal presentation standards and grooming, along with an elevated level of self-motivation

• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and thrive on working as part of a team

• You will need to be available from (for the Courtesy Bus): –

 4:00PM until 11:30PM on Wednesday and Thursday

o Club operations may require you to work until 3:30AM

 4:00PM until 1:00AM on Friday and Saturday

o Club operations may require you to work until 3:30AM

 4:00PM until 10:30PM on Sunday

o Club operations may require you to work until 3:30AM

 These times are subject to change, in order to meet the requirements of our members and guests, and fulfil the needs of the business

 Public Holidays and Events will mean the times are subject to change and you will need to be flexible, to start earlier and finish later

• You will need to be physically fit and be able to stand for long periods (at times)
