About the role:

This is a true HR generalist role where you will be at the heart of operations – supporting leaders, driving compliance, and managing employee relations across the organisation.

You will act as a trusted advisor to managers (SDLs, HTLs, and leadership) and work closely with the HR Lead to ensure all HR practices are audit-ready, legally compliant, and aligned with NDIS requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across support, clinical, and corporate roles
  • Build talent pipelines and proactively identify workforce gaps
  • Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed (NDIS Screening, VEVO, references, etc.)

Onboarding & Compliance (NDIS-Focused)

  • Maintain staff compliance registers and certification tracking
  • Drive compliance with NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid/CPR, and mandatory training
  • Coordinate onboarding through Employment Hero and i-Induct
  • Ensure staff are fully compliant before commencing shifts

Employee Relations & Case Management

  • Manage workplace investigations, grievances, and conduct matters
  • Provide practical ER advice to leaders aligned with Fair Work obligations
  • Maintain ER case registers and ensure procedural fairness

Performance & Development

  • Coordinate probation and performance review cycles
  • Support leaders with PIPs and performance improvement strategies
  • Identify workforce trends and recommend improvements

HR Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate HR data and conduct system audits
  • Prepare compliance and workforce reports
  • Support audit readiness and documentation

Policy & Compliance

  • Ensure alignment with SCHADS Award, Fair Work Act & NES, WHS (WA) and NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Support policy implementation and continuous improvement
  • About You:

You are a confident, detail-oriented HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Essential:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in human resources or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role
  • Strong experience managing employee relations cases
  • Solid understanding of SCHADS Award, Fair Work Act & NES
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and integrity

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience in NDIS, healthcare, or community services
  • Exposure to audit environments and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g. Employment Hero and ShiftCare)
