We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team on a 12-month
maximum term contract commencing mid-September, with potential to extend. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll partner closely with our Franchising Network, Construction team, and Head Office stakeholders to deliver accurate financial reporting, commercial insights, and project outcomes that support business performance and growth.

What is the role?
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant plays a key role in supporting our Franchising Network and Construction team by delivering timely, accurate, and
meaningful financial insights across the business.
You’ll work closely with Franchisees, the Construction team, and stakeholders across all Head Office departments, contributing to financial reporting, forecasting, project accounting, and business performance initiatives. You’ll also collaborate with Financial Accountants and offshore transactional team members to ensure month-end and reporting requirements are delivered to a high standard. Ongoing professional development is supported through exposure to the Financial Controller and CFO, including financial modelling, data and insights, project management, and continuous
improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Financial Management
- Manage General Ledger activities including month-end accruals, prepayments, and standing journals
- Oversee store refurbishment WIP reconciliations and timely project close-outs
- Manage lease accounting activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and associated general ledger postings
- Validate supplier rebate data and calculations for Accounts Receivable invoicing
- Prepare and analyse monthly Profit & Loss statements
- Manage fixed asset registers and conduct regular reviews
- Assist with month-end consolidations and cash flow statement preparation
Management Reporting
- Deliver monthly management reporting with variance analysis
- Support year-end financial and management reporting, including responding to external audit queries
- Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for assigned entities
- Prepare
quarterly reporting packs for MINT
Management & Leadership
- Effectively manage month end requirements while working closely with Financial Accountants and offshore transactional team members
- Attend and contribute to monthly P&L review meetings with department managers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, management, and external suppliers
- Support finance-related projects and strategic initiatives across the business
Who are we looking for?
You’re a confident and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, translating financial data into meaningful insights and working in a fast-paced environment. You can clearly communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance
audiences and take pride in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality
outcomes.
You will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification, ideally gained alongside experience in a Chartered
Accounting firm
- A degree qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or a related
discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role within a commercial
environment
- Strong experience preparing month-end financial reporting and meeting strict
deadlines
- Experience with consolidations, cash flow statement preparation, and balance sheet
management
- Proven ability to partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders on business
performance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Advanced
Excel skills and strong capability across Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally Oracle Fusion, as well as exposure to Tableau or
Power BI
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain
financial insights clearly
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within tight
timeframes
