Description

Are you an experienced HR Coordinator ready to take the next step into a broader advisory role? Do you enjoy supporting leaders and employees with practical HR advice, while working in a collaborative and supportive HR team?

We’re excited to recruit a Junior HR Advisor to provide hands‑on, generalist HR support. This role is ideal for someone who already has strong HR coordination experience and is looking to build deeper capability across advisory work, employee relations, systems, and HR initiatives.

Who are we?

For 35 years, The Coffee Club has been an iconic & beloved staple in Australia. The Coffee Club was built on a foundation of family, friends, and meeting customer needs. We’re more than just a café; we’ve created a space that’s casual yet sophisticated, stylish yet affordable. About the role

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Junior HR Advisor provides generalist HR support across the business and acts as a first point of contact for day‑to‑day HR queries.

The role balances hands‑on delivery of core HR coordination and support activities from day one, with responsibility for managing defined HR tasks independently, while continuing to build depth across advisory work, employee relations, HR systems, payroll support and HR projects.

About you

You’re an organised, practical HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and supporting people through everyday HR matters. You’re confident managing HR processes and systems, and you’re keen to broaden your advisory skills in a role where support and development are prioritised.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in an HR Coordinator or junior HR generalist role, supporting end‑to‑end HR processes
  • Exposure to the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance processes, employee relations support, and offboarding
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation, Awards and Fair Work obligations
  • Experience using HR systems with strong attention to data accuracy and compliance
  • Strong organisation and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A professional, collaborative approach and confidence communicating with employees and leaders
  • Experience in retail, hospitality or multi‑site environments (highly regarded)
  • Exposure to payroll processes or payroll support (desirable)

Why join us?

You’ll join a close‑knit, supportive HR team that values collaboration, knowledge‑sharing, and practical problem‑solving. This is a genuine development role, offering exposure across HR operations, advisory work, employee relations, HR systems, payroll support and projects.

In return, we offer:

  • A collaborative, approachable HR team that supports learning and confidence‑building
  • Exposure to a large, diverse retail and franchise environment
  • Flexible working arrangements supporting work–life balance
  • A modern Support Office and inclusive workplace culture
  • Employee benefits including paid parental leave, purchased annual leave, and learning support
  • Barista-quality coffee every day
