Emerge Support Network is a dedicated family violence service in Melbourne, committed to empowering and safeguarding families affected by violence. We provide comprehensive support services, including refuge, transitional housing, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
About the Role
This is a senior family violence case manager role within a specialist family violence service working across refuge and outreach settings. You will provide specialist case management support to women and children experiencing family violence while also supporting and strengthening staff practice through secondary consultation, guidance and knowledge sharing. This is a senior, practice focused position requiring experience managing complex and high-risk family violence cases and the ability to support and guide other practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist family violence case management and manage a caseload providing holistic and individualised support
• Conduct risk assessments and safety planning in line with the MARAM framework
• Provide secondary consultation and practice guidance to staff to strengthen capability
• Undertake trauma informed assessments and support referrals in collaboration with the broader team
• Work across refuge, transitional housing and outreach settings
• Build strong networks with external services including mental health and AOD providers
• Support consistent, high quality, trauma informed and client centered practice
About You
• Minimum three years’ experience in family violence or a related sector
• Relevant tertiary qualification meeting Rec 209 requirements
• Strong experience in risk assessment, safety planning and case management
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and support staff practice
• Confident working with complex and high risk situations
• Strong communication, relationship building and organisational skills

• Meet Recommendation 209 minimum qualifications, including a relevant tertiary qualification such as Social Work or a related discipline
