Salary per annum $122,372 per annum ($61.93 per hour)

About the Role
Wheatbelt NRM is seeking a skilled and passionate Healthy Environments Program Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of environmental projects across the Avon River Basin, aligned with the strategic direction and mission of our organisation.
You will support a dedicated team to protect and enhance unique bushland assets on private land across the WA Wheatbelt, one of the most significant areas within the southwest biodiversity hotspot, with a focus on threatened ecological communities and critical habitat for threatened species.
This is a rare opportunity to lead meaningful on-ground action and collaborate with landholders, community groups, and stakeholders to improve landscape-scale conservation outcomes on private land.

Wheatbelt Natural Resource Management is a non-profit organisation working in partnership with community, biodiversity, agriculture and government to provide regional leadership and direction for sustainable land use and the conservation of natural resources in the Avon River Basin of Western Australia. Selection Criteria

Technical Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental management, biodiversity conservation or ecology.
- Experience delivering sound project management principles.
Leadership Management
- Demonstrated ability to lead, support and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience providing strategic direction, aligning work with organisational goals, and managing risks and opportunities.
Communication
- Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to represent an organisation in stakeholder engagements, community events, and public speaking forums.
Teamwork
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with staff, stakeholders, consultants and community members.
- Experience working respectfully and collaboratively with diverse groups.
