Description

DVConnect is a Queensland-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides statewide crisis response services for people impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, DVConnect delivers free, confidential, phone-based support to individuals in crisis, helping them access immediate safety and pathways to recovery.

At DVConnect, our Workforce Planning team plays a key role in ensuring that our services operate efficiently and smoothly around the clock.

About the role

  • 3-month contract (parental leave cover) commencing June 2026.
  • Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:00.
  • In-office. Convenient Brisbane City location with accessible public transport.
  • SCHADS Award Level 4 ($44.58 – 47.97p/hr) + super.

Reporting to the Workforce Planning Lead and working collaboratively with another Rostering Officer, you will:

  • Coordinate shift coverage, including managing last-minute changes in staff availability and unplanned absences
  • Monitor roster gaps and proactively source appropriate coverage to maintain service continuity
  • Communicate roster updates clearly and in a timely manner with service delivery teams and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate off-phone activities such as meetings, training, and professional supervision, while ensuring adequate service coverage
  • Maintain system accuracy and data integrity within Calabrio and Microsoft Excel, contributing to continuous improvement of rostering tools, systems, and workforce planning processes
  • Participate in rostering and service delivery meetings to support operational alignment
  • Ensure all rosters comply with the SCHADS Award, organisational policies, and procedures, with accurate record-keeping and audit trails.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in workforce rostering, ideally within a not-for-profit or call centre environment. Other fields may be considered.
  • Proficiency in rostering systems (e.g. Calabrio, NICE IEX, Genesys or similar)
  • Strong computer skills, including intermediate Microsoft Excel capability
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage last-minute changes, unplanned absences, and roster gaps
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff and leaders
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • A proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused mindset
  • Commitment to working from the office for the duration of the contract

Highly Desirable

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS) or similar.
