Treatment Room Nurse (RN or EN) – Family Practice Medical Centres

Location: Bundaberg QLD 4670

Type: Permanent Full-time | $35–$47/hr (dependent on chosen employment type and experience)

Family Practice Plus Avoca is seeking a nurse with energy, warmth and excellent clinical acumen to perform GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMP) and treatment room duties. You’ll work independently and in a team alongside our GPs and other Practice Nurses in a well-equipped clinic delivering key services such as immunisations, wound care, health assessments, iron infusions and minor procedures.

About the Role

As part of our Treatment Room team, you will:

  • Provide general practice nursing care including immunisations, wound care, ECGs, spirometry, and pathology collection
  • Support doctors with minor procedures and urgent care
  • Assist with chronic disease and preventative health management
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient and quality patient flow
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Medical Director and PracSoft
  • Champion infection control, cold chain compliance, and clinical best practices

What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current CPR certification
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Demonstrated experience in a general practice or primary care setting
  • Strong knowledge of immunisation protocols and chronic disease care
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Medical Director and Pracsoft software
  • Experience with Medicare item claiming processes (e.g. GPCCMPs)
  • Ability to work across multiple clinic locations
