WORKSHOP STOREPERSON
Due to company expansion De Goey Contractors are currently recruiting a Workshop Store person.
About Us:
De Goey Contractors (DGC) is a recognized leader in fabrication, protective coating, process piping, installation, and various aspects of coal mining, terminal maintenance projects, port maintenance, manufacturing, and labour hire.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Store person to join our dynamic team. In this role you will work closely with the Logistics & Asset Manager to implement systems to maintain & allocate DGC tooling and assets, goods incoming & receipting and coordinate local deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Logistic & Asset Manager to accurately control goods incoming and receipting
- Control the allocation of tooling and gear for personnel and jobs
- Loading & unloading supply trucks
- Accurately identifying materials and goods for receipting in/out purposes
- Organise packaging & transport bookings for outgoing goods
- Town pick ups
- Maintain Asset Register and monitor expiring compliance
- Booking of servicing and calibration of Assets
- Coordinating deliveries to subcontractors and clients
- Requisition materials & consumables
- Acquire and apply a sensible working knowledge of site operating procedures and requirements
- Interpret and appropriately action information supplied
- Acquire and apply a working knowledge of the Company structure and personnel
- Maintain absolute confidentiality with respect to Company business activities, staff details and customer information
- Work harmoniously with fellow office staff as well as customer contacts
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- HR or MR truck licence desirable but not a requirement
- Overhead crane desirable but not a requirement
Riggers ticket desirable but not a requirement
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift
- Experience: 2-5 years in a similar Storeperson/Logistics Roles
