HSEQ Advisor – Immediate Start
Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced HSEQ
Advisor to join our team in our HSEQ department.
About Us:
De Goey Contractors (DGC) provides specialist services in
fabrication, protective coating, process piping, manufacturing, and labour
hire. Our experienced team supports a wide range of coal mining, terminal
maintenance, and port maintenance projects with a strong focus on quality,
safety, and performance.
The Role
This is a locally based position with an immediate start
available. Reporting to the HSEQ Team Leader:
- Maintain
and continuously work towards improving workplace health and safety
systems and performance including:
– incident and risk management
– health and wellbeing
– injury management
- Identify
work site hazards and risks, including any changes to processes, equipment
etc.
- Liaise
with stakeholders to develop and document Safe Work Procedures.
- Liaise
with stakeholders to review and update current Safety Management Plan and
Policies.
- Facilitate
incident investigations for safety incidents.
- Facilitate
injury management programs and Return-to-Work conditions and functions.
- Assist
supervisors and managers in safety related matters.
- Conduct
site inspections across various projects.
- Liaise
with site contract management teams to ensure all CMS data is correct and
up to date.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Return
To Work Qualifications
- ICAM
Lead Training
- First
Aid Certificate
- Internal
Auditor training (desirable)
- Mental
Health First Aider (desirable)
- Ability
to communicate effectively with all stakeholders with a strong customer
focus.
- Demonstrate
a professional and positive approach with a confident manner.
- Experience
or familiarity with Contractor Management Systems
- High
level of interpersonal and communication skills, initiative, and strong
attention to detail.
- Strong
understanding of applicable Legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian
Standards.
- Ability
to liaise with all staff, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- A
working knowledge and understanding of relevant Health, Safety and
Environmental legislation.
- Experience
in the development and implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental
systems and programs
