Draftperson

We are seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our team. You will be responsible for producing and managing detailed fabrication and engineering drawings, liaising with internal teams, and attending site as required to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

About Us:

De Goey Contractors (DGC) provides specialist services in fabrication, protective coating, process piping, manufacturing, and labour hire. Our experienced team supports a wide range of coal mining, terminal maintenance, and port maintenance projects with a strong focus on quality, safety, and performance.

The Role

• Prepare and revise detailed fabrication and engineering drawings
• Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and workshop teams
• Ensure drawings are compliant with Australian Standards and project specifications
• Comply with all ISO certification requirements relevant to the role
• Support continuous improvement in drafting processes and systems
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control
• Plan, manage, and deliver assigned drafting projects within budget and deadlines
• Attend site for measurements, sectional sketching, and photo documentation

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or equivalent
• CAD/drafting experience (Fabrication experience highly regarded)
• Professional approach and strong attention to details
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
