Welfare Worker – Nannup Therapeutic Community
About the Role:
We currently have a position available for a part-time Welfare Worker. The Welfare Worker will work within the program to provide information, culturally appropriate support, and welfare advocacy for residents in treatment for their drug and alcohol misuse. The Welfare Worker will also undertake administrative aspects of residents admission and discharge processes, including the collection of resident accommodation fees and refunds.
The position is offered as a part-time role working 38 hours per fortnight and is located at our Nannup TC in the Southwest, surrounded by natural bushland.
The position is Level 4 -Level 5, Salary $96,295 -$113,725 per annum pro rata, plus superannuation.

To be appointed / successful in this role, you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in health and/or social welfare or equivalent.
- Experience and knowledge of AOD concerns.
- Demonstrated and well developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team.
- Problem-solving and intervention skills with the ability to identify and assess resident needs.
- Experience in group facilitation.
- Demonstrated administrative, organisational and time management skills.
- Well-developed self-management skills to cope with difficult cases and manage stress.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office suite and computer systems.
- Willingness and ability to work within the philosophy and culture of the Therapeutic Community model.
- Full work rights, current National Police Clearance, First Aid certificate, and current Driver Licence.
