About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Counsellor Educator to join our team at our Rick Hammersley Therapeutic Community facility on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Counsellor Educator will provide professional alcohol and other drug (AOD) counselling, education, and support to consumers and their families within a residential setting. The role will have a strong focus on consumer engagement.
The position is offered at Level 4/5, salary of $96,295 – $113,725 per annum depending on experience. It is a full-time role working 76 hours per fortnight and is located at Rick Hammersley Therapeutic Centre (TC), surrounded by natural bushland.

To be appointed / successful in this role you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:
- Degree in social, behavioural or health sciences.
- Well-developed assessment and counselling skills.
- Demonstrated experience in working with consumers experiencing issues related to alcohol and other drug use.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated and well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
- Full work rights, Current National Police Clearance, Driver’s License, and First Aid Certificate.
