Description

Do you love turning lab workflows into clean, compliant systems? Do you enjoy configuring and supporting the platforms a lab runs on?

Do you thrive where laboratory science meets informatics?

If so, you’ll fit right in at Crux Biolabs.

Our company is growing fast – and we’re expanding our laboratory informatics team.

What does that look like? You’ll help implement, configure and support the ELN, LIMS and other platforms that underpin our laboratory – maintaining workflows, supporting validation, and keeping our systems compliant and reliable. You’ll work closely with our Program & Technical, Quality Assurance, Operations and IT teams to make sure these systems support everything the lab does.

Driven by science, respected for results

At Crux Biolabs, we love one thing: science. It’s what unites us and drives us to help our clients create safe and effective medicines the world can access. Since day one in 2011, we’ve supported clinical and pre-clinical pharmaceutical development projects from Australia and around the globe. Our team is small – 62 to be exact – but our results speak volumes. That’s why we work with some of the best pharmaceutical and biotech companies and clinical research organisations.

The Crux Biolabs evolution

Like the human cells we analyse, Crux Biolabs is growing fast. We’re on the hunt for team members to be a part of our growth. People are excited to join Australia’s pharmaceutical and clinical development ecosystem – at the ground level.

What does that mean for you? Ample opportunity to innovate. And a career trajectory that matches our expanding horizons.

The culture that awaits you inside Crux Biolabs

  • Fast-paced: Your attention to detail will keep us running at peak performance.
  • Innovative: We love staff who look for ways to improve efficiency.
  • Supportive: Thrive in a culture that values inclusivity and development. Your ideas are heard, your efforts applauded, and your successes celebrated.
  • Rewarding: Work hard and be rewarded with a competitive salary.
  • Impactful: This isn’t just another job – it’s an opportunity to shape how we work and leave a lasting impression on a growing Australian industry.

A day in your new work life

As our Lab Systems Specialist, you’ll help implement, configure and support our ELN, LIMS and other laboratory platforms, working across our Program & Technical, Quality Assurance, Operations and IT teams to keep the lab running efficiently and in full compliance. That means you’ll be:

  • Administering and configuring our ELN and LIMS platforms – user access, security and system performance
  • Configuring and maintaining laboratory workflows and sample lifecycle management
  • Supporting computer system validation, change control and data integrity activities
  • Supporting vendor coordination, audits and client inspections
  • Ensuring data integrity through system and compliance controls, audit trail oversight and user access governance
  • Providing user support and training, maintaining system documentation, and driving workflow improvement

This is a hands-on laboratory informatics role focused on ELN and LIMS configuration within a regulated GxP environment, bridging laboratory operations and IT.

What we’re looking for

To be a top pick, you’ll bring hands-on experience ELN and LIMS admin experience, a sharp eye for detail, and a solid understanding of regulated laboratory environments (ISO/IEC 17025, GCLP, GCP). You’ll be just as comfortable configuring systems as you are supporting day-to-day users. A Bachelor’s degree in Science, IT, Computer Science, Laboratory Informatics or a related discipline is essential, along with at least 3 years’ experience administrating an ELN or LIMS.

If you’ve had exposure to LabWare, SQL / APIs, or CSV experience, even better.
