Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Operational Duty Manager to join our Front Office leadership team. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operation of the hotel during your shift, ensuring seamless service delivery, supporting your team, and creating memorable experiences for every guest. What you’ll do:

  • Lead the daily hotel operation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth service delivery
  • Supervise, coach and support Front Office and guest service team members
  • Prioritise operational requirements while maintaining high service standards
  • Develop and motivate your team to achieve outstanding performance
  • Act as the hotel’s main point of contact during your shift, making confident operational decisions
  • Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Coordinate with all hotel departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor and maintain a safe, secure and efficient working environment
  • Respond to emergency situations in line with hotel procedures
  • Prepare operational reports and provide updates to senior management

What we’re looking for:

  • Ideally you have experience in a Front Office Supervisory role and are ready to take the next step in your career or a current Duty Manager looking for some different market exposure
  • Eligibility to work full time in Australia
  • Ability to build genuine connections with guests and colleagues anticipating their needs & promptly managing enquiries
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, reasoning and motivational skills
  • Long periods of standing in the front desk areas and occasional lifting of heavy items
  • Working knowledge of hotel property management systems – Opera preferred
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • First Aid and RSA Certifications are required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
