We have a rare and exciting opportunity available to join our Sandgate depot as an Operations Manager.  

 

Our Company:

Crawfords is a privately owned and locally operated transportation and logistics company. Our operations are in road, rail, port logistics and warehousing. We operate multiple depots in New South Wales and Central Queensland.

 

About the role:

As the Sandgate Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall efficiency, compliance and productivity of the day to day operations.  This role is fast-paced, requiring adaptability to a strategic mindset and strong problem-solving skills to support the Company’s growth and success.

 

What does the role involve?

  • Manage daily operational planning to meet strategic long term targets.
  • Lead an established operational team, fostering a culture of safety, engagement, and performance.
  • Drive process improvements and implement automation initiatives to enhance productivity.
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver outstanding service. 
  • Ensure compliance with various regulations.

What do you need for the role?

  • 5 years + management experience in a transport/logistics environment;
  • Qualifications in business/management or logistics highly desirable;
  • Strong understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Legislation, Chain of Responsibility and other relevant regulations;
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices; and
  • A mechanical aptitude and knowledge of heavy vehicles/rail is advantageous.
