We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team. You will be working on a well-established large-scale irrigation farm in the Emerald Irrigation Area, growing predominantly cotton, with legumes and cereals in field rotation.

About the role 

This is a hands-on supervisory role supporting the Farm Operations Manager in the day-to-day running of the farm. 

You’ll work alongside farm operators and be actively involved in irrigation, machinery and general farm activities, while also providing direction and support to the team. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Lead by example on safety and ensure safe work practices are followed 
  • Support and coordinate daily farm activities, including irrigation and machinery operation 
  • Operate tractors, harvesting equipment, pumps and other machinery as required 
  • Work alongside and supervise farm operators and seasonal staff 
  • Operate and maintain irrigation systems and infrastructure 
  • Help maintain plant and equipment, and keep workshop areas organised 
  • Support training and development of team members 
  • Ensure chemicals are handled and applied safely and correctly 
  • Contribute to a clean, efficient and well-run farm environment 

 

About You

  • Have the permanent right to work in Australia
  • Solid experience in broadacre farming (ideally 5+ years)
  • Irrigation experience (ideally 3+ years)
  • Strong practical skills across irrigation, machinery and general farm work 
  • Previous experience leading or supervising others on farm 
  • Comfortable being hands-on and operating machinery regularly 
  • A dependable, team-focused approach 
  • A genuine commitment to safety
