About the Role
As a Junior Accountant, you will work closely with our Senior Advisors and Managers to support a broad range of taxation, accounting and business advisory services, including:
- Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Assisting with Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and ATO reporting requirements.
- Supporting senior team members with taxation and business advisory engagements.
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and assist with accounting and taxation queries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts.
- Developing your technical knowledge and practical account skills through ongoing mentoring and training.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An Australian recognised Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent qualification.
- Full and unrestricted work rights in Australia.
- Highly recommended 1-3 years’ experience within public practice accounting.
- A strong desire to build a long-term career in taxation and business advisory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
- Commenced or intending to commence CA or CPA studies (highly regarded).
