Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. This permanent, full-time position is essential for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related systems, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive mechanics, particularly with diesel engines, and will play a crucial role in supporting our operations in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines and related systems.
Perform routine maintenance and servicing on diesel vehicles.
Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with other mechanics and staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technologies.

Qualifications:

Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years experience in diesel mechanics or a related field.
Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and components.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
