The agronomy team is split with two focus areas, technical and commercial.

The Role

Within the Technical agronomy team there is now a vacancy for a Technical Agronomist, to cover the Southern Qld cotton region, home based at St George.

Reporting to the Technical Agronomist Lead, the role involves delivering variety trials with high scientific rigour, to ensure ability to communicate their performance, fit and specific management requirements to optimise yield and quality.

Key responsibilities associated with this role include:

· Integrity of scientifically sound trial data

· Interpretation of complex datasets, identifying trends and drawing conclusions

· Ensuring precision in gathering, recording and managing data

· Operation of field and analytical equipment

· Communication of technical information through reports, presentations and briefings, tailored to the audience

The Person

To be successful in the role you will ideally have:

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Experience with cotton.

· An understanding of agronomy and cotton production principles.

· At least 3 years technical/ R&D experience.

· Comfort with Microsoft Office tools and CRM software.

To enable you to be fully effective in the role you will be provided with a fully maintained company vehicle (which includes some personal use), phone, computer, and iPad.

The role is home office based at St George, with regular travel within the region.
