About Possum ECC
Possum ECC is part of Connect Children and Families. We recently transitioned to specialise exclusively in education and care for children aged 3 to 5 years, with children transitioning from Connect’s Hazelwood ECC for the 6 weeks to 3 years program.
Our practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including:
- Circle of Security – Classroom
- BrainSET design
- The Family Partnership Model
We are also engaged in practitioner research to develop a unique pedagogy tailored for children, ensuring we remain leaders in early childhood education.

About You
We’d love to hear from educators who:
- Has a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
- Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Are passionate about working with children aged birth–3
- Understand the unique developmental needs of infants and toddlers
- Are committed to respectful, responsive practice
- Enjoy working collaboratively and communicating openly
- Are motivated to grow professionally and engage in reflective practice
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing, responsive care and high-quality education for children aged 3-5 years
- Work collaboratively to plan, document and implement programs that support each child’s learning and development
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families
- Participate in reflective practice, team collaboration and ongoing professional learning
