Support Essential Early Childhood Services —After Hours
Community Kinders Plus (CKP) is seeking a highly organised and responsive Relief Staffing Coordinator to support our kindergarten services during after-hours periods.
This is a critical operational role ensuring that educator absences are filled
efficiently, maintaining staffing ratios, compliance, and continuity of high-quality early childhood education across our network.
About the Role
Working remotely (with occasional in-person training/meetings), you will coordinate
relief educators and teachers to ensure all services are appropriately staffed
for the following day.
You’ll play a key role in workforce coordination, compliance, and operational continuity across CKP’s network of kindergartens.
Key Responsibilities
Relief Staff Coordination
- Coordinate relief educators and teachers to cover staff absences
- Review leave notifications and staffing requirements
- Contact and schedule appropriately qualified relief staff
- Prepare and maintain daily staffing schedules
Workforce Administration
- Maintain and update the relief staff database
- Track staff availability and utilisation
- Ensure all relief staff hold required qualifications and clearances
Communication & Coordination
- Liaise with kindergarten leaders regarding staffing needs
- Communicate placements, expectations, and logistics to staff
- Provide clear and timely updates to all stakeholders
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure educator-to-child ratios are met across all services
- Maintain accurate staffing records and reports
- ·Identify and escalate workforce gaps or recurring issues
Adhoc Tasks
- ·Support Adhoc administrative tasks as directed
About You

Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in administration, rostering, HR, or workforce coordination preffered
- Strong scheduling and organisational capability
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable using systems, spreadsheets, and communication tools
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
