🔷 Purpose of the Role 

This is not just a relationship management role – it’s an opportunity to drive real business impact across a portfolio of brokerages. 

As a Regional Business Partner, you’ll act as the first line of support for network members in your region, partnering with them to improve performance, drive growth and strengthen business practices. You’ll also play a key role in identifying and converting new brokers into the CBN network. Given the regional focus of this position, the successful candidate must be based in Metro Sydney and surrounding areas, or South-East Queensland. 

 

✨ What You’ll Do 

  • Manage a portfolio of brokers to drive growth, profitability and long-term success 
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans with top-tier brokers 
  • Analyse portfolio performance and implement targeted action plans 
  • Support brokers to improve the quality of advice and uplift business practices 
  • Ensure broker performance meets compliance and operational standards, including remediation where required 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with network members across your region 
  • Identify, prospect and convert new brokers to grow the CBN network 
  • Maintain and manage a pipeline of prospective brokers 
  • Support brokers with succession planning, acquisitions and sales of business 
  • Identify opportunities for investment and loan support and prepare business cases 
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve escalations relating to insurer service, claims and market issues 
  • Conduct broker segmentation annually and execute visitation plans

  • Strong knowledge of the general insurance broking industry 
  • Proven experience managing broker relationships or working within a broking practice 
  • Experience in business development and new business acquisition 
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes 
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance and identify growth opportunities 
  • Experience supporting or contributing to business strategy and planning 
  • Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualification 
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication skills 
  • Confidence working autonomously while collaborating with internal teams
