At CoAct, we are seeking a dedicated Mentor to deliver person-centred
support to customers, guiding them toward employment readiness and long-term
success. This role plays a critical part in empowering individuals, building
confidence, and creating pathways to meaningful work.
About the Role
As a Mentor, you will work closely with customers to support
their journey into sustainable employment by delivering structured, tailored
and outcomes-focused support. You will:
- Provide
ongoing mentoring and case management to customers, supporting their
progress toward job readiness and sustainable employment outcomes
- Develop
and implement personalised action plans that identify goals, strengths,
barriers, and targeted interventions
- Apply
people-centred case management practices, including effective barrier
management and referral to appropriate services (e.g. training, wellbeing
or community supports)
- Monitor
customer progress, review action plans, and adjust strategies to ensure
positive outcomes
- Build
and maintain strong relationships with customers, employers, and community
partners to create employment opportunities
- Support
customers post-placement to improve retention and address risks to ongoing
employment
- Maintain
accurate records, documentation and evidence in line with contract and
compliance requirements
- Contribute
to a high-performing team environment focused on achieving individual and
organisational targets
About You
You are a motivated and resilient professional who thrives
in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and is passionate about making a
meaningful impact. You bring:
Service Delivery & Relationship Management
- Strong
communication, coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to build
trust and rapport with diverse customers and employers
- Experience
in case management, including developing action plans and supporting
customers to overcome barriers to employment
- Demonstrated
ability to engage, motivate and support individuals to achieve goals and
sustain employment
- Ability
to build and maintain effective partnerships with employers, industry and
community networks
Capability & Approach
- A
strong understanding of people-centred practices, including empathy,
active listening and trauma-informed approaches
- Proven
problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt your approach to meet
individual needs
- High
level organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage
competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Commitment
to compliance, quality assurance and accurate record-keeping
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience
within employment services, case management, coaching, mentoring or a
related field
- Demonstrated
ability to work in a KPI-driven environment and achieve outcomes
- Strong
understanding of customer needs and employment pathways
- Relevant
qualifications in a people-focused discipline (desirable)
- Current
driver’s licence
Location: This role is based at our Brisbane
Office in Stones Corner, Monday to Friday.
