About the role
The Program Facilitator role focuses on designing and delivering high-quality, hands-on experiential learning programs that build confidence, independence, and real-world pathways for young adults at Co-Hive.
This role suits an experienced facilitator or educator who enjoys working in an adult learning environment, holds high expectations, and adapts confidently to diverse learning needs. You’ll plan and deliver structured, experiential programs that are purposeful, strengths-based, and outcomes-focused.
You’ll deliver one or more 20-week programs across employment, independence, or wellbeing streams, based on your experience and availability. You’ll support participants to build practical skills and self-belief, connect learning to real-world opportunities, and take meaningful next steps into employment, further study, volunteering, and community participation.
Depending on your availability and experience, as a Program Facilitator you may deliver multiple programs in a full-time capacity, one to two programs in a part-time capacity, or on a casual basis.
Facilitators are matched to programs based on strengths, experience and organisational need.
As a Program Facilitator, you are responsible for designing, delivering and driving the impact of programs from start to finish. Programs run over 20-22 weeks and are delivered across two semesters (each semester is 2 school terms) per year. Programs run on set days and if successful, your working hours will be based on when the relevant programs run.
Programs sit across three streams:

Employment Pathways: Hospitality Industry, Creative Industry, Gardening and Sustainability, Transport and Logistics, Sports and Fitness, Animal Care

Independence and Advocacy: Steps to Independent Living, Co-Eats, Ambassador Leaders

Social and Wellbeing: Drama Dynamics, Get Active, Dance Fitness, Yoga, Social Meetups, Independent Getaways

About you
You will bring relevant experience and qualifications aligned to this role, along with a strong understanding of best practice in your field.
You are someone who:
- has strong experience facilitating group-based programs for young people or adults with additional or individualised needs
- plans and deliver learning that is structured, strengths-based and outcomes-focused
- uses technology confidently to support learning, engagement, organisation and communication
- works collaboratively in a small organisation and value teamwork
- is flexible, adaptable and comfortable in an evolving environment
- holds high expectations and support participants to rise to them through structure and care
- is organised, reliable and take ownership of your work
- aligns strongly with Co-Hive’s values and are motivated by creating genuine, long-term impact.
You’re available to work onsite at a Co-Hive Hub during program hours.
About Co-Hive
Co-Hive is a Sydney-based organisation empowering young adults aged 17–35 with disability, neurodiversity, and low support needs to achieve award-wage open employment, build independence and advocacy, and develop strong social connections.
Founded by an experienced leader in special education with deep expertise in post-school transitions, Co-Hive exists because too many young adults with low support needs disability were leaving school without successful pathways into employment, further education, or meaningful community life.
