About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cold Store & Logistics Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for managing frozen meal inventory across our facilities, maintaining accurate stock control, coordinating stock transfers, and supporting our volunteer meal delivery program.

This is a unique role that combines cold store operations, inventory management, logistics and delivery activities in a purpose-driven organisation that helps support people in our community.

As the Cold Store & Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring stock is accurately managed and available across both depot locations. You will work within commercial freezer environments, coordinate stock movements, conduct stocktakes, and prepare meals for volunteer delivery runs. The role involves regular travel between our sites and requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail and personal accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Manage stock levels across depots.
  • Rotate stock using first-in, first-out principles.
  • Empty blast freezers and transfer products into freezer storage.
  • Replenish stock between depot locations.
  • Transport meals and inventory using refrigerated vehicles.
  • Collect outsourced meal stock and transfer between sites.
  • Prepare meals and eskies for volunteer delivery runs.
  • Maintain organised freezer and storage areas.
  • Follow food safety, workplace safety and organisational procedures.

About You

  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory control, distribution or a similar operational role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to work.
  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • The right to work in Australia.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Regular manual handling tasks.
  • Working in freezer environments with temperatures as low as -15°C.
  • Lifting, carrying and moving stock.
  • Regular travel between depot locations.

What We Offer

  • Hourly rate from $34.42.
  • Attractive salary packaging options (up to $15,900 per year tax-free), plus an additional $2,650 for Meals and Entertainment.
  • Permanent part-time position (30 hours per week).
  • Four-day work week – Tuesday to Friday, with a long weekend every week.
