Position summary
This role is responsible for the design, development and delivery of evidence-informed training and coaching that strengthens workforce capability. It ensures practitioners are equipped to respond effectively to complex and evolving client needs.
The role develops and facilitates high-quality training programs across a range of core practice areas, supports the translation of learning into practice through coaching, and maintains strong standards of participant experience and training administration.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, the role partners with the Business Development team and the Business Support team to ensure learning solutions are high-quality, responsive and aligned with sector and organisational priorities.

Salary package : $100,000 – $110,000 per annum (salary commensurate with experience) +
regulated super contributions (12%) + tax reducing salary packaging

Reports to: Executive Manager – Workforce Learning & Development
Key responsibilities
Training Design and Delivery
• Design, deliver and assess high-quality training programs, including new and existing courses and modules.
• Develop and maintain training and assessment resources in line with relevant training packages and standards.
• Administer assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback using approved tools.
• Deliver participant-centred support, maintaining regular communication to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
• Provide subject matter expertise to support the development of elearning modules.
• Maintain current knowledge of sector practice and ensure all training reflects contemporary, evidence-informed approaches.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, using feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.
Coaching and Practice Development
• Deliver high-quality coaching to build individual and organisational capability across the sector.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
• Support the establishment and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, including fidelity and implementation monitoring
• Observe, analyse and report on program implementation and adherence, identifying and addressing emerging issues.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of implementation and practice support activities.
Administration and Continuous Improvement
• Maintain accurate, compliant and up-to-date participant records and documentation.
• Contribute to the development and review of training resources, incorporating industry consultation and feedback.
• Analyse training outcomes and refine programs and assessment approaches as required.
• Support reporting requirements, including contributing to regular updates on training activities.
General Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively across the Centre to support integrated and high-quality service delivery
• Contribute to training projects and ensure all work aligns with the Centre’s strategic priorities
• Demonstrate a strong customer service and commercial focus in all activities.
Key selection criteria
Essential
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or T AE40122), or equivalent.
• Demonstrated commitment to the development and application of evidence-informed practice.
• Relevant qualification in community services, social work, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated management and/or substantial practice experience within a community services environment.
• Proven experience facilitating training in classroom and/or adult learning environments.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development to maintain current skills, knowledge and qualifications.
Knowledge
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in the design, delivery and assessment of accredited training in accordance with AQF and ASOA standards.
• Knowledge of both accredited and non-accredited learning and development frameworks.
• Recent and relevant industry experience that informs practical and contemporary training delivery
Skills and capabilities
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated expertise in training delivery, assessment and instructional design, particularly for accredited programs.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• High-level digital literacy, including the use of learning technologies and systems
• Proven capability to facilitate training across multiple delivery modes, including face-to-face, online and hybrid environments.
• Strong customer service orientation and commitment to participant experience.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated track record in developing, delivering and assessing accredited training programs.
• Ability to tailor and contextualise training to meet the diverse needs of participants and organisations.
Qualifications and requirements
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or T AE40122)
• A relevant tertiary qualification in the community services sector, training or education (or at least 5 years equivalent experience).
